Newcastle University Flow Cytometry Core Facility http://www.ncl.ac.uk/fccf/

The FCCF provides a cutting-edge Cytometry service to a wide selection of Newcastle University research themes as well as to a number of external organisations and national/international collaborators. It is managed by Dr Andrew Filby who has over 17 years of Cytometry and Immunology experience. Dr Filby oversees a team of seven dedicated specialists who ensure that the instrumentation is maintained to the highest possible standards, users are trained appropriately and operate cell sorters. The FCCF team are also very experienced with a wide range of Cytometry-based assays and are able to offer a full sample preparation service on a project by project basis. The facility also boasts a Helios Mass Cytometer capable of making over 40 phenotypic and functional measurements per cell as well as collaborative access to an ImageStream Imaging Flow Cytometer system. It also has three Seahorse XF metabolic analysers. The FCCF works to category II bio safety levels and promotes the MIFlowCyt data standards for Cytometry-derived data.
